Pioneer RT 2044 tapedeck very rare.

I just fixed up a rare tapedeck It is the 2044 quadro from pioneer. I totally recapped and tuned the machine. It's one of the nicest machines available.

Not everyday you see one of these.

I have one of them but my capstan motor has gone dead.

Anyone know where to buy a new capstan motor or repaired the old one ?.

capstan motor broken?? i don't think so look if the string is broken??

check the fuses.

refurbish your servo drive board.

THEN, i tried to plug in my i-pod nano and relised i couldn't, i thought this machine must have the worst quality sound ever so i chucked it and got a teac 4 in 1 home sterio from a garage sale for 50bucks, sounds awesome but was missing a few buttons that i fixed with the ones i snapped off the old reel 2 reel i just chucked, NOW! works a treat. You should hear it!

you wont belive this, i found this exact model on hard rubbish the other day and i ran down the street with it above my head laughing because i knew what it was, when i got home and pluged it in it had the original masters copy of TOTO AFRICA on the reels already, i was freaking out.

So you're very strong or doing drugs. Have you any idea what these machines weigh? Nobody it their right mind would try running down a street holding one of these over his head, let alone under the arm.
