@TheMrsGandy I was thinking that a few minutes ago when watching How To Marry a Millionaire. Marilyn Monroe is sexy in that beach bunny way, but lauren bacall is a true sex siren, with her voice and her femme fetale looks. They are different kinds of sexy but I personally find lauren bacall hotter

"You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow."
That's always what I say when someone says they don't know how to whistle. ;)

In "conventional beauty" she cannot perhaps compete with the true stunners from yesterday, but she has such class, intelligence and sexiness, that she nevertheless is way more attractive than most of those. Look her up in Dame Ednas show - write 'Edna Tom Jones full' - and you see what fantastic humour she has and so intelligent. The elegance of her, walking down that staircase ...She is then 65...! A thousand times more attractive than the poor siliconbabes of today...

It was still her vocal chords lol. They trained her to speak more lower which in turn darkened her voice. Singers such as Janis Joplin and Christina Aguilera tended to sing outside their range and as a result, their timbre darkened. Doing drugs and overusing alcohol can damage your voice too (Whitney Houston). Yelling very loud and whispering could also cause the voice to change. As you can see, no one's voice color ever remains in the same state. It's still her voice.
