@genten777 Glorified waitress? Clearly you have never been on an airplane. Flight attendants are not there to serve you drinks, but to save your life in an emergency.

@VicGon07 Sorry but sometimes its who you blow that gets you the job!!! sometimes truth simply stings get used to it sweetie. Once again I stand by my assertion that people in developing countries are DESPERATE for jobs and pretty women (ie female Emirates cabin staff) will screw and blow inorder to get the gloried waitress position.

What a RUDE commentary. Very bright and educated people here GET a job! There are many people that leave here and work in America, in a BIG company... I don't think it's just like you said, at all. Flight Attendants sometimes have to know MANY languages, and for to learn some different language, it needs to be a little smart.

I work with Aviation..UAE is an excellent airline, this is why they are progressing so well. Anyone who makes comments suggesting otherwise, has not got a clue.

@hollywoodfan1011 Travel and Tourism is one of the most competitive industries to get into. Cabin Crew arent ditzy and dumb. And you'll find that with every airline, they all say "We only employ the very best" and sometimes a bad crewmember slips through, but Cabin Crew are clever people. Just because we use calculators, it doesn't make us stupid. It just means we're not that fond of counting in three different currencies.
