Hello and thank you to all Subscribers who have followed me this year.
I joined Youtube nearly four years ago to show my enjoyment of radio.
Thankyou for all the kind comments when Operators hear me "On Air", it realy does make it worthwhile, even at times when i've thought of moving on and calling it a day.
I had a very poor start to 2011 after much interest in the Sirio Gain Master and Anytone 5555 Reviews due to a health problems and many tests in the local hospital.
This kept me from enjoying riding my Lambretta this year also.
I have Reviewed some new products this year and also some of my classic radios , that I hope you have enjoyed.
As from now (10/12/11) other than with any pre production samples, any Reviews I show will be with equipment purchased from Dealers or Distributors as I think some may think the're more unbiased reviews.
I look foward to (hopefully!) AM and SSB been legalised within the United Kingdom by the Regulator.
This is going to be great for many CB Radio Operators and Radio Amateurs who want to use a legal SSB service within the EU.
I for one will be more than happy to use this Mode of operation with my 26AT callsign that is at present dormant.
I think this will encourage more people onto the band, which is a good thing.
The BDARC had a superb year and had some cracking Field days, again thank you for all your QSO's and we QSL 100%.
So in general a good year for radio with some superb propagation on the Ham Bands and 11 Meters also.
Hope to catch you all soon,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

73 De Dave M0OGY.

  • Hi M0ogy, I do like your videos and you always get a thumbs up from me.

I am new to dxing so a video showing how to set up a radio like the Anytone 5555 and how to use it would be great for me.

Anyway keep up the good work and all the best from sunny 163

  • @262NagantRadios Thanks Paul, I look forward to maybe a QSO on midband LSB one day with you.we live in hope.

Nice plan for the Lafayette videos.....I can't wait.

Most people who follow my videos are in the UK, Wales and Eire..........but I seem to have made many friends in the USA and Canada too which is just superb.

    Happy New Year .......73 Dave

  • @m0ogy I have plans for more videos but I haven't been feeling well the past couple of weeks. Planning on a multi segment repair video of a 1960's U.S. made Lafayette tube radio with the rare Lafayette tube mic pre-amp/compressor unit add on. If that turns out well I have some others I will do the same with through the year.

You definitely rank as one of my friends for sure and I look forward to your videos and correspondence into the new year. Happy New Year & 73's Paul

  • @m0ogy Hello Dave, I'm very much so looking forward to your upcoming videos. Especially of your collection.

Glad to hear of your good Palco experience. I agree it should be a DX machine of a antenna. Hopefully they will legalize midband. If so maybe we will be able to make contact there someday if mother nature allows.

Thank you for the kind words. My help was a small thing and I was more than happy to assist..............cont'

  • @262NagantRadios Cont'......I look forward to finishing the Jogunn Yagi soon, I think it will be a beast for DXing, I was well impressed by Palco's help in supplying the parts needed from Jogunn, I certainly recommend Tony and his company...far more helpful than some I have come across.

Keep your superb videos coming, and I class you as a true Friend for your help in 2011.

Have a Happy New Year Paul.........73 Dave

  • @262NagantRadios Hello Paul, thanks for ther input.

I prefer the older gear also for sure, but I do like showing new and first release products too.

I do have some decent new products to show in the New Year.

I'm on the look out for some decent test gear , but like everything ,money is needed first for the hum drum things in life first.

I plan on showing much of my collection of vintage CB/Ham gear in 2012 also, as you know this seems to have a big following too......cont'

  • Of course I vote for more videos of vintage rigs but they will likely be less popular than vids of newer radios. Plus you know I'm biased towards to older stuff. LOL!

Technical stuff such as receiver sensitivity of various radios would be interesting if you have a variable generator than can turn down to fractions of a microvolt. Wish I had a variable generator that was capable of that.

Looking forward to your JoGunn completion video down the road. Hope you had a great Christmas. 73's Paul
