"Shame" (1978) is a hit single recorded by American singer Evelyn "Champagne" King. It reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, #8 on the US Dance Chart & #7 on the US R&B Chart, earning a Gold certification by the RIAA that same year. After a long struggle in the UK Singles Charts, "Shame" eventually made the top 40, peaking at #39.

The song is featured in the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on the in-game radio station Fever 105 & on Nip/Tuck Season 4 Episode 2 ~ Christian took Mitchell to a strip club to convince him that he's not gay.

When I was a pro musician back in the day,I got to meet and do a show with Miss Evelyn.She was playing a club using her sound tracks and her sister for back-up vocals.When my group took the stage for our set she and her sister joined us. Both, truly beautiful and gracious ladies.A treasured memory!

@kwesi01 i know...its just simply a Blessing to be 16-17 and singing like she 30 something!....one of the best singers of all time...just PURE talent, not none of that "nonsense" we see soo much today. she is very much underrated
