But I think you're looking beyond my point.
I never said the alternative was better. (It's not.) But I think you would agree these people are not just cheering because they avoided the alternative. Their adoration for Obama is being carried out for its own sake. They're loudly and voluntarily celebrating a warmonger (amongst other things).

is this a hypothetical question? the answer is: because the alternative was worse. we don't live in an ideal world, and each of us is responsible for the choices we make. if you don't like obama's policies, then YOU may run for president. welcome to america.

Why celebrate the victory of a man who has clearly stated that he plans to continue the Iraq War indefinitely and who plans to enhance the war in nearby areas? Why celebrate the continued mass slaughter of Arabs? Why celebrate a man who vowed to hold companies that helped spy on us accountable, then betrayed us? Why celebrate a man who won't stand up to destruction of the dollar by deliberate inflation?
Murder, war, government spying, and theft are things to condemn, not celebrate.

this is amazing, i love watching these obama victory celebration videos here on youtube and i've seen so many but berkeley was one of the biggest and loudest crowds i've seen and heard so far, they were really hyped, yeah berkeley,

today i didnt go home early , because there are some many peoples on the street in dowtown berkeley, i wanna take bus but the street were closing so i went home walking , anyway it was really fanny
