Clarke Buehling taught me this tune that he got from Samuel Swain Stewart. It's an old tune that goes by many names.

  • always look forward to a vid from you guys.

what tuning are you in for this tune and also what tuning were you in when you played old king crow?any chance of a lesson for old king crow?

    please and thank you

  • @1cenobite The tuning is the period "Briggs" tuning, AF#DGD. If you want to learn Old King Crow or other period tunes, google "Briggs Banjo Instructor."

  • So where is Pig Town and how do they Fling?

  • What's weird is that even after I'm through listening to the video and I'm sitting here writing a comment, the melody is still playing in my head. Thankfully it is a good melody!

  • thank you very much.i have the Briggs book but i cant seem to find the rhythm ,with this tuning i am sure it will help....still think you should do a lesson on it though lol :)
