  • You know I don't care what critics say this album was great. I do get sick of people my age only knowing that Styx sang Mr. Roboto because STYX has so many great songs! They are my favorite band of all time and I am only 20!

  • Beautiful intro. Fantastic song, especially for me right now b/c I am working on a paper and I am just trying to get throught this night :/

  • this was a geat styx recording

  • I am 72 and this is one of my many Styx favorites. Growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional. If I could still ride I would still be blasting this out of the stereo on my Honda Gold Wing. I was introduced to Styx by my stepchildren from my second marriage. They had all the albums and because Styx first road manager, Jim Voss, was a relative we got free concert tickets too. Styx eventually replaced Voss as road manager and the free tickets ended but by then I was a die hard fan.

  • I used to play this album to death. Every song on it solid gold, and loved the story..one that is especially relevant today I think.

  • perhaps Kilroy was a metaphor for the idd in us all that is forced to conform and listen to lady gaga, yet we scream inside for what really counts. good old rock and roll...

if you see it that way, the story of Kilroy has come true. we just need a ( Jonathan ) chance to free us all.

  • this album gets a bad rap. but if you can see beyond the live stage hi jinx deyounge wanted to do and look at the concept as metaphor, not literally. it's not just a good album, but a real good story. and the story in fact has become a reality if you think about it. look at how the music industry pushes trash on us, and ignores the classic way of true rock and roll.

  • I just love the 'floating down the river in 'nam' vibe this song has....

  • @Andytheminstrel Just wrote two. I just went through this night. This song, right here. Good stuff.

  • @regionguy149 Nice observations, chap! I personally think music started to suck about 20 years ago when Grunge came out. The whole premise was they supposedly cared more about the music that 70s-80s bands but either way i think they had alot less musical talent. Even Grunge was better than todays stuff IMO...

  • @Andytheminstrel Me too! This essay is killing me...

  • @urBabygirl123 Sooooo super cool to hear that!....Im 31 and that pretty much makes me a "young" Styx fan too! While this album may be their worst album (and I mean REAL STYX LINEUP) this album is pure gold compared to not only 90% of today's crap........but even compared to much of overrated 70s and 80s bands! Their weakest album really not all that bad at all!!!!!!!!!
