This song was written to awaken the sleeping who are not disturbed by the lukewarmness being practiced by the denominations. Many today don't believe that they'll stand before Christ to be judged because they've been taught that they have been made immune by Christ's blood. 2Cor 5:10 says otherwise, and so does Romans 14:10-12; Heb 10:30; James 2:13, and hundreds of other verses in scripture. Read Ps 15 to find out who will be made immortal and live with Jesus forever. It's not a simple matter of saying a little prayer after your pastor, folks. Jesus said "Not everyone who calls Me "Lord Lord" will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that DOES the will of my Father".
