This is the first of the 18 songs, plus a eulogy by Barbara Mandrell, that I have uploaded from the "Dottie Rambo Home-Going Celebration" DVD that I purchased from Dottie's daughter. This is a statement from Reba McGuire:

QUOTE For those who have questioned why we would make her Home-Going service available by creating a DVD or allow it to be aired on Christian TV, please allow me to respond In no way are we attempting to capitalize on Moms home-going by making a commercial piece of product that will be stocked on the shelves of stores across our nation for years to come. It will only be available through our office until June 30, 2008. What we were, and are, attempting to do, is share the moment with thousands of precious people who couldnt make the journey to honor and celebrate her life the way we were blessed to do. UNQUOTE

I have seen so many comments from the "precious people" about whom Reba was concerned, lamenting that the DVD is not available, that I felt it my duty to help Reba help them to "share the moment" and to "honor and celebrate her life the way we were blessed to do."

Dottie was my friend for more than 35 years, and her promotion has given me one more reason to long for my own home-going.

@SidsCardShop OH MY...! That is very sad :-(. After all she went through to die like that. It doesn't seem fair. But at least she was sleep...hopefully, she she was in Heaven before she even knew what happened.
