I watched Ron Paul give a spirited defense of Wikileaks. It was beautiful to hear. He was talking to his fellow politicians and he specifically mentioned the neocons as being particularly problematic. My little heart went a'flutter.

As a liberal, I of course don't always agree with Ron Paul. But it sure is nice that someone on the right is willing to stand up for the constitution and civil rights. I want to see the libertarians and liberals join forces the way they did during the Bush admin.

The republicans only look out for their profits and mislead their "normal" voting base (anyone making less than $500 000 a year). The democratic party is spineless, and the American political landscape has barely anything that could be called a third, fourth or fifth national party.

Greedy backstabbers on one side and (mostly) spineless idealists on the other.

America is screwed.
