Helton Creek Falls.
The Cherokee name for this part of North Georgia translates roughly into "land of a thousand waterfalls" and Helton Creek has two of the best. The first washes over a thirty foot ledge, cascading to the pool below the falls with a roar that can be heard almost to the road. Returning up the stairs, follow the trail around the right and up a embankment to the second falls. These are tall, full falls that drop at least fifty feet.
