The renowned investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker John Pilger has spent the better part of his life documenting American empire and the resistance it has met. Pilger has made over fifty documentaries and is the author, most recently, of "Freedom Next Time: Resisting the Empire," which looks at ongoing struggles in Afghanistan, Diego Garcia, India, Palestine, and South Africa. Pilger joins Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez of Democracy Now! for the hour to play excerpts of his documentaries and speak of the struggles he has covered.

I respect the people in your country whom have found the courage to go against the grain and criticize wrong doing when nobody else will and when the masses are hypnotized. Karmically the Government will pay when they cannot continue with their criminal activity's because people are waking up.

I argue with racist's and people who think aggression and war is the best answer and people who love guns more than human life all the time, but i know people are not born this way. I'd like to get his view on the AMerICAN people? Does he think we are waking up and realizing the attrosities our government has done to other countries, especially Central & South America. I can't help but believe, that karmically we the people will have to pay a big bill one day. We cannot assume that our Corp Government has the people's best interest at heart. How to change it!
