This video shows how to convert .223(5.56) brass into fully serviceable Tokarev TT-33 brass. As this round is not readily available and is for the most part hard to find in Canada, this is a viable alternative making use of a very common case. If you have any questions, please ask away! Please leave intelligent and useful comments. Any others will be removed quickly. Many thanks to Zippy for doing a lot of the research and experimenting and a big tip 'o the hat to Henry N. for tool development and parts sourcing.

  • Great help. How do you keep the case centered when you ream the neck so that you don't end up taking more off one side than the other? Thanks,

  • @TheOnebigelf

The first batch I did were held with a set of pliers(my 2 way vice was packed away). The case will self center this way...also, this step is done before trimming to length so that if any damage is done while centering, that small portion will be milled off. I've reloaded these many times and have not had a failure of any fashion, yet.

  • wait which lee dies were used? which caliber and and whats the product number?

  • @gunitup234 The Lee set used is number 90769. It is NOT a carbide set so the cases must be lubed prior to necking/resizing.

  • I thought Canada lost their gun rights? awesome video though! I have loads of .223 brass but nothing chambered for the round.

  • @fomocowboy We have not "lost" our rights, we just are experiencing tighter controls right now.

  • @TrikesAndTrails lol, thats pretty much the same thing. If you let anyone control anything even a "little" by the time you see a problem it will be far to late to reverse it. Unfortunately here in the USA we are experiencing similar problems.

BTW excellent video. I dont own a 7.62x25, but I love things like this, and so I subscribed.

  • Good information, Thanks

  • @TrikesAndTrails Just a matter of time before they take them all, sadly.

  • @TrikesAndTrails - isn't definition of "lost" means you can't do it anymore - at one time I was jealous of what canadians could own/shoot compared to USA - not so much anymore.

  • @CanadianReich America is the same way I think. It sure is a shame, seems nobody learned anything from Russia. But its like I keep saying "Once EVERYTHING is illegal, NOTHING will be illegal" they keep choking us with laws here in the US, not just for guns, but everything.

  • @fomocowboy

I think youll find Canadians will still have guns long after the government tells us it illegal. Canada will simply have a few million more "criminals" for the police to divert all their resources into instead of going after the real criminals that were the inspiration for the initial gun laws.
