Also remember, The lyrics that these DJs talk are not written down, its just made up as the music played and they rhymed. The determination of how good a DJ is how well they 'ride' the rhythm (rapped in sync with the music), how long they could talked and told the story. This is how it started.....I'm trying to figure out where dancehall derail/detoured. How did it become the $hit it is now? By the way this is dancehall not sterilized so called 'roots reggae'. A necessary distinction people have to make nowadays. This is raw; grab a mic, ride a riddim, speed-it-up/slow it down chat-off yu-mouth dancehall vibes.
