With lots of Atemi in there, the udachi wont have a reason to miss the katana, with timing the technique falls into place.

And with practice these waza can be used on any opponet sword or no sword, style or no style.

What is happening here is that the tori is stepping out of the way of the blade on the diagonal, and reaching for the katana only after the cut has already been made, grabbing from the uke's forearm and moving down toward the sword's handle.  From there, he can execute the aiki move perfectly.

okay, becuase you would reach for someones katana. all the man has to do is pull his katana in and good by Mr. I'm going to grab you katana. can't grab peoples katana's when your arms are gone. be more piratical, do you think you would actually do this in a real situation, if yes try this practice with a real weapon and at full speed, also with someone that can use a katana. if you don't think you would use this in a situation like this, just stop practicing it.
