It would be rather disappointing if their solos were exactly the same in all the takes though, would be a real shame and also strange for musicians as talented as Tatum, Stuart nd Barksdale to do that. Lets hope that they are the same recordings. Anyhow, I cannot thank you enough for all the incredible Tatum stuff youve uploaded, a great benefit to the music world.

I have a feeling it's Everett Barksdale on guitar man. It's strange though, I have exactly the same recording of this, note for note, nuance to nuance, but it's in a different key - was this taken off an LP?

You know, you might be right. I'll check on that. It's from a eight-disc compilation that Storyville did of mostly unreleased radio broadcast and personal recordings made by various fans and even Tatum. There are a few takes of this tune on it, and they are all virtually the same.
