He deserves more credit. He is not only a universal guitarist himself but, he influenced many guitar players to expand into different musical dimensions. Not that he would ever want to follow a career in what I am about to suggest but, he should be called upon for all top in demand studio gigs as a guitarist to record on internationally sucessful songwriters recordings. Much in the same way that Jim Gordon was the most in demand session drummer for decades.
