Actually, this song is from the album Another Side of This Life.

Lyrics:

A baby doesn't know
How loneliness can feel
She has her own small world
And nothing in it's real
Just spread joy all around
And watch the sun coming down

When I was young the world was rich
With spices and par fays
My heart was filled with pride
My head was filled with praise
I wore my youth like a crown
And watch the sun coming down

Love only lasts for a moment
Life holds a brief smile for all
The sunshine can't last forever
And soon the night must fall

Memories can fade
In dreams that you can find
You'll finally reach the end
And never look behind
No use in turning around
It's just the sun coming down

No use in turning around
It's just the sun coming down
It's just the sun coming down

  • what a voice

  • I haven't figured all of it out yet but I've got the main progression down. The verses go F#m13 to Am7+5 to Cmaj7 to Gm7 resolving to Dmaj7, which is almost the same as the F#m13.

    F#m13 Am7+5 Cmaj7 Gm7 Dmaj7

    2x2224 585555 x35453 353333 xx0222

I haven't got the intro but it sounds like a VI-II-V-I with lots of added colors resolving to the Dmaj7 (F#m13) to start.

There is a bridge that is slightly different. Gram wrote this in high school!

  • @narut13 Agreed. I've been trying to figure this song out for years but I'm too mediocre of a guitarist to be able to find out what weird chords these are.

  • would be great to get the chords for this

  • This is NOT from The Early Years. This cut is from Gram Parsons Another Side of this Life from Sundazed Music

  • Thank goodness someone FINALLY uploaded this song. Many thanks!
