petal's band was awsome. I like the 2008 show better than 2009, but it was still awsome. Im from gautier's band

I'm sure there were no tapes with commentary from the judges telling them these things. I don't know what Petal band would have done without you.
-
yes it sounded like crap and like BlindParabol was saying, the hornline got the music when they were learning the drill to it, But it doesn't give u the right to say he'll have a different opinion of a 'band' playing it. First they're a professional group who has had more experience with music than we've had. Second they get way more amount of time to work on everything. Third, the horn line got it on the day they were learning drill, which was around 2 weeks before the first competition we had

Yall had me at Man vs. Machine. I'll never forget my freshman year at Fort Walton. Yall made me a believer in band. btw Supersound Band is my home. Trumpets Kick Brass!!!!!

Spartan01017. Go and search for The Cadets' 2001 performance of "Juxtaperformance" on Google Video and listen to the show's Ballad movement.
I'm sure you will then have a different opinion of a 'band' playing Vide Cor Meum.
-
Darn Right they were, and someone just threw up on that note at 3:54 lol.
-
We got Vide Cor Meum the day we started putting it on the field, that's why it was ruined. We had so much stuff thrown at us at the worst possible of times. :)
-
You are correct.
There is a pattern in the Petal Band, every two years they go on a major trip, and this show was during one of those years. Many people will join band or re-join band if the trip seems fun. And most people will be focused on that instead of the important stuff.
Sadly, that had to happen during my Senior year.

omgsh lol i love yalls impact

Ditto on the drill comment. Also, I'd rather see a band sit still and play rather than make me suffer through that intonation. (If you're actually in this band, that comment is aimed at your band director, not you.)
Dang, those trumpet licks at 3:44 - 3:49 were hard to clean.
