The Thalamus

The thalamus, shown in red, is part of the forebrain. It plays an integral part in relaying sensory information from the sense organs to the cortex. Acting as a major relay center, the thalamus passes incoming messages on to higher centers in the cortex. A thalamus with its nuclei color coded is represented here. Some nuclei deal with several different types of messages, while other nuclei deal with only one type. The lateral geniculate body relays information to the visual cortex, and the medial geniculate body relays sound information to the auditory cortex.

Other thalamic nuclei have different functions: For example, the Posterior medial for taste sensations, the Posterior Lateral for Touch and Tactile Sensations, the Anterior serves and relay centre of Memory and so on... It is impossible to decribe all the functional units associated with the thalami on internet. However generally speaking, the thalami are serving 2 major functions: (1) Relaying sensory informtion to the cerebral cortex and (2) Coordinating motor responses.

yes it is that bad .......quran says keep exercising the brain -surah 96 and hadiths say maily vinegar real cure is iced cold water and body building ....but i surrounded with dibeleivers who keep calling quran lies - they don't fully know it but what they chosen - too many going to be ar rass in hellfire and they do not have a clue intelligence still works - just movements keep going wrong

i am not sure what you are saying is real...but if it is for real I really hope you are not trying to look for a real help over youtube. I am a third year medical student and highly unqualified to help you with something so severe. At most I can pray to god for you.

can you give me any sort of help with my pbrain thalamus problem only cure i found was iced cold water in a cold environment and doing body building................i don't think i will be able to do body building again , pains are too severe and brain outer tissue alos gone numb

i need some help my brain thalamus was at first turned into a virtual solid blood clot. now i going through sudden SEVERE body fluid dehydration. i know brain is suppossed to be hot and humid at all times - but my thalamus is HOT AND DRY .....when this goes too hot and dry i prepared to fight to death, the pains are that severe. i have studdied carefully human brain

been on drip / hospital - urinated drip out while drip still attached ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED ?
