Kristy gives this song more spark. She does not sing horible. Why trash on Deleriums first original vocalist she's great.

@RQxana The vocoding in the original gives the verses an emotional detachment, which contrasts beautifully with the chorus, where Jael kicks in with her full range. This is lost in this live version, but I think Kristy pulls off the chorus quite good, though.

i like this version much more than with jael, it sounds more naturally, her voice is not computer modified like jael's

Just shows that a good producer can get the best of someone's voice in a studio... and that some singers SHOULDN'T sing live. Every clip of her I've seen live is horrible. She's completely trashed the feel of this song. Ugh!! I can't even get through it. I think if she stopped stomping around like a Clydesdale (LMFAO.. thanks for that), and concentrated on the song more instead of being a rock star.. she would have done a better job and not slaughtered this great song.

I consider Kristy to be the lead singer of Delerium, and the other women guests. And I think she's one of the finest female vocalists ever. Good stuff.

Kristy has plenty of 'her own' songs with Delerium. But singers like Jael and Sarah McLachlan etc. have their own bands/ careers, so they're not always going to be available to go on Delerium's tours. Kristy's band (Rose Chronicles?) split up, so touring with Delerium and being their lead vocalist is good way of getting paid for doing what she loves.
