I think conspiracy theories are a way of mourning for some, a way of blaming for others but most of all just utter bullshit. Conspiracy theories are mostly made up by people who had too much drugs or who can't stand every day life and need to make something up besides it. A lot of muslims are using conspiracy theories to blame the attacks on USA or Israel because they can't stand their religion led to this.

1. Organizations often splinter off, look at history. It's very common.

2. Don't hold academia to such a high standard, divergent opinions (especially on SUCH a controversial issue) are rarely fought over for publication rights. Dogma is alive and well and often excludes what does not follow the norm.

3. People don't have a substantial case to be honest, there is far too much disinformation and misinformation. However, I'm not american so I can't really answer this fully.

Why are there NO professional/academic peer reviewed journals or papers substantiating 911 truther theories?

In a world (and nation) of Bush haters, why has no one taken your absolute proof" to the courts to convict the guilty conspirators? It only took 5 years for Jim Garrison to bring charges on the Kennedy assassination (clearly a much smaller conspiracy than 911).
