I marched the 26" tymp 73-75 and the 20" in 72!!. Am looking for 1974 video footage. If you have dvd, please e-mail execevent15 @ aol dot com. thanks John
@BigHeartedMan65 TheChuck624 meant that in 1978 Kilts used a set of real concert timps (Premiers) for the first time. The solo player still had to mark time.
Alot of Corps were setting the Tymps down during Concert Long before 78 . I Carried a 32" my first year , Then they figured out it was tooo Darn Big and got another 26"
@SuperOceanSea yep, we all marched tymps back in the 70's, the 23" up to the 29". The Kilties was the first corps to ground them in 78. They weren't as heavy as they looked, I played the 23 & 26 for four years.

Checkout the '77 line - major chops on the snares, and pretty clean as well.
