just gonna say not a fan of the yamaha the wheel base is to short great bike but it's not for a beginner. I seen way to many people flip these R1 R6 they really just for the track in my opinion. great bike for corners at 100mph sweeper but good luck at a launch you will flip it.

My friend rode a Kawasaki KLR 650 and I was on my ninja 250r and I crushed him at any short distance, and even in a 30 mile race. My top speed was just a hair over 100, his was, what he said, 93. Just before I hit sixth he could catch me a luttle but after that he was behind me

Im not reading into the comments but i see comparisons... Suzuki SV1000R or not but my buddy has one and my zx6r whooped that ass!! Faster top to lmao.. 168 his is 150 something lol. I rode it one time though and that bitch has hella torque though.. Power wheelied for the first time on that bitch and almost looped a second gear clutch lol.. It was fun though

@nicklebrato You just compared a track-ready bike to a cruiser... A 1300cc R-class bike would whoop an R6 in a straight line, and then some...

@crazykawafool yes r1 is 1000, zx14 is 1400 and so on, but just because the engine is bigger doesn't mean its faster, my dads 1300 yamaha vstar is no match for my r6 :)
