A little bit of Italian opera for you, from Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore" (The Love Potion)
Nemorino, a simple, rustic man is in love with Adina, but she isn't interested in him. He buys a "love potion" with all the money he has (actually a cheap red wine sold by a con man) But when he sees Adina weeping, he knows that she has fallen in love with him and the "Elixir" works.
Obviously intended for a tenor which isn't my natural range, but what the heck.
