Unfortunately the end result isn't super shiny, but outherwise it's a nice improvement.
To sum this video up: Watch me glaze the fretboard of my fretless bass with epoxy resin. Witness cool timeplapses of the whole process.
And maybe you can make it shiner than me in case you want to glaze a fretboard yourself.

@sixthgatebass not in that case because the nut slots were quite high to begin with
I actually filed then down a big
I also did a complete setup afterwards: Truss rod adjustment, bridge adjustment, intonation...
