PNU roots for presidential system

PNU fired the first salvo announcing that it would go for nothing short of a presidential system as ODM accused its partner of jumping the gun. The parliamentary select committee on constitution retreats to Naivasha this week to study the revised draft but as NTVS Rashid Ronald reports, this could be the beginning of a bruising battle between the partners.

what is the need for calling a press conference before you go and work on the draft? there is a stage for presenting your suggestions without coming out as a moron. this is the same route we have been before , these politicians think they own the country and they love to reject the work that is being put in by good man and women of constitutional reform team. these is the vice president of a country talking down a staff that was picked by parliament. kalonzo, you are going to fail

Why is PNU against the new constit. just like Martha Karua who was a diehard PNU loyalist who supported all that was wrong , kalonzo and his friends will be left out of a new kenya. We are moving forward as a nation and dont want this tribalists to derail the process.

Kenyans will decide even if it means last minute & I just hope that its going to be the right one that Raila is a big mistake; he cannot be a president whatsoever, the idea that Raila should lead us according to some of us its confusing, we want a different Kenya Yet We want Raila what is that? Are we desperate or is it revenge? If anyone thinks its Raila its got to be one of them. Its wrong! We've got to think again!

what will happen when ODM has the presidency, will they be calling for a reappeal of the constitution?

why not put political differences aside and do what is right and better for Kenya's long term future?

Were the opinions of the people taken into account or are we going to be at the mercy of these greedy selfish polticians?

2190g1: The most disturbing problem with Kalonzo Musyoka is the answer he would give if one asked him whether he wants to be President. He would answer yes now!!! In his prayers Kalonzo is not waiting for 2012!! He is shouting: I want my pie now!! Me!! Me!! Me!! Me!! Is this good for Kenya?

You don't need to be a genius to see how Kalonzo is a turncoat. He is a very selfish and greedy politician. But he will fail.

I have fears that his stand is linked to the media gagging step taken by his party chairman Poghisio so that Kalonzo can be declared winner in 2012 by rigging without the media broadcasting results live as they come in. Now MPS will be bribed by the pay hike, then they will vote for Poghisio's bill.

But this will still fail.
