  • @HerrWarja It seems like word painting to me. The edgy conjunct melody seems to me to suggest the movements of someone stumbling or fumbling around in the dark.

  • I can sing this adequately... just. I do not have those stunning low notes, or the general beauty of voice -- or anywhere near the skill. The production is a bit surreal and sometimes seems too disconnected from the text, but musically this is superb.

  • @Sieglinde84 There is another user on youtube that has the full performance and each video is numbered.

  • Very beautiful, but what's the correct order of these videos? I want to figure out the meaning of the direction.

  • where is the recit gone? it was online, but now i can't find it anywhere! please put it back online, it is so beautiful!thx

  • Amazing interpretation and beautiful voice. DVD is available on amazon.com

  • @MrCelloBass Florian Boesch

  • quien es el baritono? tiene una voz increible

  • My favorite aria from this oratorio. Love the low notes on darkness and the high note on "have seen a great light" A beutiful interpretation of those words by Händel.

  • amazing
