Steve, I was wondering about how much clay do you use to make the plates and approx. size?

I didn't weigh them but they were about 800 grams they weigh 680 grams dry finished weight with a dry diameter of

220mm

@stevebootonceramic Hi Steve, I was wondering since I am new to the pottery world, could you please tell me what the best way is to paint my work. Under glaze water colors,colored slip or chalk etc... I see all these beautiful color designs and mine never come out like that. Any information would be great!

@kimcarvin1964 Hi Kim. If you use oxides like I do the colours can be quite muted which is what I like.

However if you want more striking colours I would use ready made underglaze paint on colours over a white body or slip, then glaze them with a clear glaze earthenware clay and glazes etc give the most striking effects. hope this helps if I can help further please don't hesitate to ask

I really enjoyed these two videos. It's always great to watch someone else's creative processes. I liked the second plate with the masking, didn't think it was to busy.

Are you frostbitten? Amazed you can throw in your little unheated workshop in these minus temperatures!
