    been listening to this version for yrs, truly magical. placebo's is waay melodramatic compared to this, like a manboy crying ino his pillow over a girl's rejection. this is like a grown woman half-heartedly praying to a god that may not be there. i love it.

    my guess is that this song is about the value of suffering - why would God allow for people to starve to death, for war to happen, and the daily shit we go thru. Life as oxymoron, those who are alive don't see the value of pain but those who are dead would gladly swap places.
