First and foremost, I am NOT psikoticsilver, I am NOT the author of this mod.

I've decided to make a handful of videos to display what changes his fantastic mod has done to the world of Bioshock. His mod deserves more attention than it's getting so hopefully these videos can attract more Bioshock fans to try out his terrific mod.

Warning: Bioshock spoilers below.

It's hard to tell what difference this mod has made to Big Daddy battles but I believe it did increase it's difficulty. Big Daddy's have been altered in terms of what amount of damage they receive from different forms of attacks. They also have increased health I believe, especially the Elite ones. I don't remember how much punishment Big Daddy's take when I played on vanilla Bioshock (also hard mode), but I think they go down with less firepower than this.

So even though this method of rescuing a Little Sister may be "cheap", it's an incredibly useful alternative when my character may be low on ammo/health/money, especially if that occurs in the later stages of the game. At either rate the Hypnotize Big Daddy plasmid deserves a little more love than it gets, and it's only truly appreciated when the player has their back against the wall, little to no ammunition left to survive and the need to get his/her hands on just a little more Adam for that Plasmid he/shes been dying for.

It's best to only use this plasmid sparingly in order to keep the difficulty of the game on par with what you like. But seeing as how this is pretty much the best reason to rescue Little Sisters (aside from the warm squishy feeling of being a goody goody) and help increase your chances of survival in Rapture, by all means use it whenever you see fit. Once I get to go toe to toe with "Elite" Big Daddys, I'll have a better understanding of how important this plasmid may really become, alas, I haven't gotten that far in the game yet.

That pretty much sums it up, if you want to learn more, or better yet, if you want to have a stab at using this wonderful mod, follow this link (copy and paste the following url in your address bar):

Make sure you've patched your Bioshock game to the latest version, or at least version 1.1 which is what I use. And if it matters, the version of the mod that I'm using is version 6.01a. Also ensure that you follow the installation instructions perfectly in case the mod screws up your game, which as far as I can tell, it shouldn't. It's also remarkably easy to install.

Happy Hunting
