Last time I checked, Takara created G1 and Headmasters to sell toys too. It's basically the same story for any cartons based off toys, to the toy companies, they are nothing more then 22 minute toy commercials, but to the writers and fans, they are something more.

As a huge transformers fan since G1 in the 80s .... I must say this series isn't as bad I as thought it would be , although it's pretty much more power rangers than transformers ....

Although i don't like too many humans taking screen time when it comes to transformers in general .... i really enjoyed the human aspect of this show ... it gave it a a fresh appeal to me ...

I still had alot of fun watching it , on anime central UK even with the bad english grammar dub .. lol ..

Am I the only one who notices the irony in the fact that Ginrai mops the floor with Overlord using only his Super mode in the Opening but in the show he is nearly killed by Overlord in that form and has to get Godbomber and become God Ginrai to beat him/her/It

SEE. JAPAN HAS IT RIGHT. "GO AND FIGHT". DOESNT MEAN THEYRE GOING TO RESTART THE JAPANESE EMPIRE OR CHILDREN ARE GONNA SHOOT EACHOTHER. CUZ THEY DONT WAR AND DONT HAVE GUNS TO KILL EACHOTHER WITH SO HAVING NO NEED TO LET CHILDREN HAVE THEIR CHILDHOOD LIKE WE HAD. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.

the Witchblade anime totally butchered not only the story of the Witchblade, but it also raped it for just about everything that made the Witchblade what it is. they even changed the origin of the Witchblade itself. how gay. i can see changing certain things about it to make it appeal more to japanese audiences, but i really think that they should have kept certain things relevant. so, yeah.....you obviously have very poor taste in animation.

@Tokamaru97 wrong, oh so wrong. i've seen plenty of anime with good story telling. Spriggan is a good one, Genocyber is another, Wicked City is another good one, Devil Hunter Yohko was pretty good too, Casshern, Monster, Claymore, Iczelion, were all good quality anime as well. for someone that claims to have seen SOOOO much anime, you seem to know hardly dick about it. Witchblade sucked, it was a piss poor bastardization of an otherwise good comic property.

American animation is still much, much better. Grit =/= good.

Good writing and story telling = good. Anime VERY rarely has good story telling.

There are only five anime in the history of ever that have good story telling.

Fist of the North Star, Devilman, Dragonball, Witchblade and Full Metal Alchemist are them. Now,Manga is a different story.

@Tokamaru97 then you would know that most disney movies are crap compared to most anime. i've seen a lot of anime too you know, and i have to say that i prefer it to campy musicals catered to the 6 and under crowd. aladdin...sucked, sucked out right. love story musicals are gay. same goes for the little mermaid, beauty and the beast, and most of the other disney animated films (minus pixar) released within the past 15 to 18 years. at least anime directors aren't afraid to show some grit.
