Mysticalforests whole line of reasoning is so anoying. Even if science couldn't explain why people have emotions doesn't mean god did it. That line of logic is so retarted. But science does (at least in part) explain why we have emotions and where they come from.

Great advice Shaw: "Read a book." Emotions are adaptations. An easy to understand example is fear. Nick's ancestors were adaptive enough to fear predators, at least long enough to pass on their genes to him. This explains Nick's existence, whether he knows it or not. He should thank his lineage for being fearful and horny. Lust is an adaptation, too.
