  • Take note all you Hurricane enthusiests and aspiring Meteorologists ; South Fl ... South of lake Okechobee during a normal rainy season between Aug. and Sept is gennerally under 1-3 feet of very warm everglades swamp water.... So my question is do you think a hurricane needs SALT WATER to maintain it's strength ??? hence hurricanes Andrew and Irene did'nt lose any strength over there trek across the southern penninsula of S. FL.....

  • @jbr84tx

That makes sense. The east (or right) side of a hurricane is usually the stronger side.

  • Should have had hurricane warnings on the E coast of FL, not the W coast. Winds gusted to Hurricane force in the Miami area, Naples got practically nothing.
