Take note all you Hurricane enthusiests and aspiring Meteorologists ; South Fl ... South of lake Okechobee during a normal rainy season between Aug. and Sept is gennerally under 1-3 feet of very warm everglades swamp water.... So my question is do you think a hurricane needs SALT WATER to maintain it's strength ??? hence hurricanes Andrew and Irene did'nt lose any strength over there trek across the southern penninsula of S. FL.....
Should have had hurricane warnings on the E coast of FL, not the W coast. Winds gusted to Hurricane force in the Miami area, Naples got practically nothing.

That makes sense. The east (or right) side of a hurricane is usually the stronger side.
