Metallica - Fade To Black (Guitar Cover)

"Fade to Black" off Ride the Lightning, one great fucking album.

the intro and postchorus solos sounds kinda bassy, it's cause too much distortion and the sound dies, so i used the middle pick up instead.

also during the outro, it might just be my shitty playing but i'm pretty sure my G string went out (cheap epiphone, does that alot), so it sounds a bit flat.

uh..yea enjoy.

Oh and could you tell me how you play fast solos? I've been trying and trying for almost 3 months and just can't do it...

lol you should be asking a more experienced player but i'll try to help. I think i heard Paul Gilbert say like, dissect the song. Play small sections repeatedly and slowly until you can play it comfortably, then move on to the next section. So 6:13-6:17, practice that section at a fairly slow tempo. When your fretting fingers are comfortable, play the next section 6:17-6:20. Break it down,practice,eventually you'll connect the broken sections and play the whole song like one crazy motherfucker.

oh and one more thing, you've been playing for 3 months!! lol i know it's frustrating at first but trust me, you'll get there, and it's fucking awesome when you finally nail that solo you've been practicing so hard for. Best feeling in the world imo. Anyways, practice practice, hope i helped, and thanks for the comment.
