yeah we had access to it it was just the parental control for internet on our phones.

I have worked in support. It is only a flip of a switch if 1: Your home had service before. 2: You have the modem hooked up ready to roll.
Otherwise your home needs to be inserted into the server. Also a line test needs to be performed to insure a good connection, this requires a modem to be ready to roll so it can be pinged.
If you had service at that location before, even if it wasnt you then yes its just a matter of clicking "Authenticate" in the software.

no turning on internet for phones is a routine flip of a switch litterally. they just wouldn't do it. so we didn't get internet even though we paid for it

They spent a good hour trying to help, some times with new gear it takes them awhile to figure out why something is happening. This is a case where they simply have not encountered this before, I would hardly call it bad support when they spent a HOUR of there time trying.

it is horrible. we were going to start to get internet on our phones. took them a week to do it when they said it would activate in an hour. they are close to dell with how bad their service is. had to call them over 8 times. it sucked. and they show all the discounts and shit but won't put them into your contract until you ask them.

My Dad says that Verizon support is horrible, I think the rest of the service is great, but I've never had to deal with the support so I don't know first hand.
Chris should of try to double Check that it's activated.
