hmm well im not sure how different things are in australia, or how old your v1 may have been but here in the US the v1 has greater detection range.

@TruAzn100 i run 2 radar detectors in my car on u can see and one u cant see it is high up in the visor

if u get fulled over i turn them off

radar detectors are legal in florida

@Marianmichael u should buy a cheap as radar detector as a decoy, so u don't have to give up the Beltronics one if u get pulled over.

@farmerfranck as far as i know about this topic the cops in Ontario won't be able to detect this detector so ur good to go. if they do pull u over and ask for a radar detector u just give them a 30 dollar detector that u also purchased.

No problem, Glad you got back though. Funny thing since I bought never had a problem with it , until the spec4 came out...

Another flaw with this system... I called up the companie, they wont even try to make a special case for it.. supposedly no one can do it ... from what the guy said over the phone.....

So I'm saving my money along with keeping my k40, but I'm going to purchase a Bel STi-R which is from Beltronic's companie, completely un-readable too all R.dd's to date
