The SWING ERA Remake of IN THE MOOD. In my opinion, the BEST VERSION available in STEREO, even over the current Glenn Miller Orchestra versions. A 14 CD set was made by TIME/LIFE that depicted various STEREO REMAKES of songs made famous by the BIG BANDS of the 1930's and 1940's such as Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Harry James, and many others.

This is actually very poorly recorded; I arrived here from a soundtrack version from "Sun Valley Serenade" and even with the inferior recording equipment and that it's not in stereo, it's way better recorded.
This has a very poor to almost non-existent soundstage, no natural "spread" on the instruments, a ridiculously recorded string bass and very poor dynamics.
