My daughter is having the surgery soon. She was born with microsha which is a deformed ear. She's had 4 surgeries 2 cosmetic and 2 internal to correct the ear drum bone placement. We are very fortunate to live up hear in Rochester,NY were medical is on the cutting edge at the U of R and Strong memorial Hospital. Her left ear has perfect hearing How long was recovery, after healing is swimming possible without a cover over it ?? Thanks for posting your video's it helps more than you know!!

@greenmarine5 Hi! Glad her left ear has perfect hearing because the Baha cannot exactly cooperate if she loses hearing in that ear. I'm not sure how long i had the full head bandage on...maybe 2 days??? And the actual healing takes 3 months. Swimmings is very possible :D Glad you found my videos then!!

Hello. I have a baha too along with TWO deformed ears and a speaking problem. I am always afraid to stand up in front of a normal class since people can't always understand me. But I do have cleft palate. I am always afraid in being bullied so sometimes I stand up in front of my teacher after school when my class mates are not in class. I am afraid I will not get over my fear.

@TR3Y4LI4E Yeah I actually just started wearing it again. That's too bad, but I totally feel for you. Yeah it will be good, if your left ear works great. For this to work you need one good ear. Because my Right ear went out a bit from a type of Menieres Disease (dont know how thats spelled) but my hearing when a bit back up and I tried the baha again and it seems to cope well with my right ear

I do have a normal life and no one knows that im deaf in the left ear unless I tell them. Thank you for your nice comment, I appreciate it. But I do have one question...what is one way i can wear it everyday without forgetting lol :)
