  • And were did you find the super charger?

  • @lurchjr69

The supercharger was bought through Jegs High Performance. It was then sent off to Paxton in California and modified with a higher boost impeller.

  • bet that motor loves getting revved with not a drop of oil going up to the top of the motor

  • @nick121690 Ah! Good point, however I'm not crazy. The motor was running right before this shot and the engine was fully primed. No damage what-so-ever. Plenty of oil in the top end and instant pressure.

  • what did you do to tune yours? i have a 01 with a vortech v2 and i ping. just bought it. has a crane came fireball retarding it but still pings

  • That ping is very common with higher compression pistons and the advanced timing on these engines. Running premium unleaded is one solution to a degree. If you notice in the video on the left, I have a MSD6BTM Ignition system on here. A MUST HAVE! The BTM stands for boost timing master. You can retard your ignition timing up to 3 degrees per lb of boost. That will eliminate the ping. It's expensive but works.

  • Sweet ride:) wish my truck was done that would defiantly haul my 5th wheel ;)

  • What about the transmission I got a 95 the tranny is gone and I'm looking for a good one

  • What kind of transmission do you have?

  • @YouraN1993R

pinging is also caused from fuel starting to ignite before the ignition fires, that is why higher octane fuel will reduce pinging.

  • @YouraN1993R nope sure didnt but thanx for the info

  • @NONAME4568

Do you have any idea what pinging is? Its also called detonation. It is when your ignition fires before the piston is at TDC so your fucking your motor up slowly.

  • @YouraN1993R hmm well everything is factory on it its not suped up or anything and a few other chevys ive been in does it and y do u say it will burn it up?

  • @NONAME4568

Your doing slow damage to that motor. You'll eventually burn it up, so telling me youve never HAD a problem with it, ya I believe you, but you WILL have a problem soon with it.
