I have not seen the series. Is the loss of Ack Ack depicted? Sledge said in his memoir that K comp and the others that knew him, "suffered no greater loss the during entire war."

@lynnfamily4 I don't think they did him justice. They could have atleast got a bigger guy. He was supposedly enormous in real life.

I love Ack Ack and Hillbilly, I cried when Hillbilly died :'( Then Gunny Haney's reaction, I cried some more.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men that have died, rather we should thank god that such men have lived.
