Restored 1963 Garrard Type A Turntable playing Seeburg 1000 Background Music which was commissioned for use as part of the Seeburg 1000 Background Music System on July 1, 1972. This background music was heard in Restaurants, Department Stores, and Supermarkets, etc.

This video was taken as the audio was being directly converted to an mp3 file. The record is mono and spins at 16 rpm. A brand new Sumiko Black Pearl Stereo Magnetic Phono Cartridge is mounted in this Garrard head shell. The Sumiko Black Pearl is equipped with a fine tip .05 mil stylus tip which is best for tracking these fine groove 16 rpm transcription discs.

Since the frequency response of the Seeburg collection is rather flat, the audio was EQ'd a bit to improve the sound quality for this video.
