'I Won't Remember Ever Loving You' is one of Walter Jackson's smoothest and most emotional ballads ever. From 1979, 'The Voice' delivers a real tearjerker. No one before or since (perhaps with the exception of Luther), has been able to turn a phrase like this man. Pretty high praise, but this performance proves it. One of my personal favorites. I still remember you B.

  • You can not mention sensational singers and dare leave out Walter Jackson! He was truly one of the greatest! Thank you Pghpookie! I wrote 2

songs you may want to post. "This Love Affair" by Gloria Gaynor & "This Love That I'm Giving You" by

The Joytones! Happy New Year, Pghpookie

  • yes indeed. two great songs!! thanks for stopping by, and commenting. and watch down the road for that joytones track. my best, pookie

  • pgh, all of the heartache came back on this one. Paulette and I have been divorced for three years and I found myself crying all over again. But, I needed it. It still hurts so bad. Maybe if more men would cry we would live a little longer. Thank you for helping me heal.

  • this song has such a strong emotional feel to it. it pulls you in different directions, so i hope it helped you. just like walter sings, 'my mind won't remember, but my heart will know'. haven't so many of us been there, and still are.

  • Beautiful ballard! My high school sweeheart just found me after 35yrs. and said he would play this song whenever he thought of "us" over the years. "TRUE LOVE" stands the test of time!

  • Beautiful. Good Luck to you both. I'm so happy I posted this.

  • Many people will have many loves over a lifetime. If they are lucky they will find that one love of their life or soul-mate. For some, if they lose that person for whatever reason, they will move on of course, but that person will always be in their heart. And they will sometime wonder what might have been.

  • oh my god...i had never heard about walter jackson, and i pride myself in knowing quite a bit about soul and funk. i only know this gorgeous song by charlene (whose version i still prefer...), but walter jackson is SO great...he's on my list now, thanks for posting!

  • "My mind won't remember but my heart will know, someone is where I'm supposed to be. Just a memory, that's what everything we have shared will have to be" Truer word have never been sung, if we could only go back to the time of that first real love and correct the mistakes we made that caused us to part. Would our love have survived? I guess for most of us, that's something we will never know. You only get to go back in the movies.

  • @mwtcat7375 The same story for me! It was so emotional to see each other again after so many years after high school.. Walter Jackson was one of our favorites, and still is. Well, this song speaks for itself and tells the story, I missed my chance with this.love.

  • When I heard this song, I became teary eyes, and the memories was so vivid. For me, this is a true story. I lost this person in time long ago and never forgot him. I often wondered what might have been. That person will always be a special person and a part of me. My heart was too young to know then, but now I know.
