The proposal on top of Kilimanjaro

In December 2010 my partners sister, Lorna Lambden, tragically and unexpectedly passed away. She was a very adventurous girl who always said yes to things. Just before she passed we had talked to her about climbing Kilimanjaro, so in her memory myself and my then girlfriend, Heather, set off to trek up Kilimanjaro on December 23rd 2011.

Lorna had always joked about us getting married, so on a trip that was in her memory I couldn't think of a better place to ask Heather the big quesiton. At 0830 (local time) on 28th December 2011 we summitted Uhuru peak on Mount Kilimanjaro and at 0843 I popped the question.
