  • As a kendo student - we prefer to keep our feet closer together and keep on our toes in order to pounce further, faster and without first having to shuffle our feet (ie without warning).

Also in Kendo blocking only exists as part of an attack/strike

  • Very true, in ninjutsu kenjutsu the stances are deeper. Thanks for watching and commenting on both video parts. @macdougdoug

  • thanks for this video, it has given me much more of an idea of how to use such weapons with more skill rather than swinging them wildly, at the momment I only have my machette, but the technique still works for me, hopefully soon I will be buying a short broadsword, many thanks again

  • I have never used a broadsword, but I have a sword similar to a machette, I will send you the video.

  • i recently purchased a short sword such as the one you're using here and a small business literally one house down from mine was recently robbed by three men

i've decided to pick up skill with the short sword, both as an art and in case i ever require protection

thank you very much for this, it is much appreciated and has taught me a lot about a proper stance

  • I will be posting more about the short sword in the future

  • Hmm nice Korean flag on your opening of your vid...

  • There were no straight japanese swords, the ninja did not use swords like yours. They used katana, same as samurai, since most of them WERE samurai. Those that werent, still used the same swords, pilfered from dead samurai. That sword ur using is an american invention, just like the cyberninja clothes ur wearing

  • Very well done, I am getting a kindjal and I want to learn how to use it!

  • Nice work, keep it up.

  • your forgetting that you block with the back of the blade seeing as it's the thickest part of the blade and to keep your blades edge with no chips

  • great, i look forward to it!
