BORING

The point is to get people interested in Cookie's book. Most folks knitting socks these days who are on the internet already know Cookie and her amazing designs, "Monkey", "Pomatomus", etc. I'm just really glad they did a segment on her. To keep their show on the air they have to have sponsors (i.e., Lorna's Laces), so time is tight to keep everything in. Compared to the other knitting shows out there, Knitting Daily is refreshingly current and up on the latest trends.

The yarn is definitely Lorna's Shepherd Sock- I recognize the labels.

I think it was all Lorna's Laces. I looked on the KnittingDaily site, and they sponsored Cookie's segment.

I wish they mentioned out loud the particular sock yarn Cookie A likes with the nylon. It wasn't clear on the video. I think it was Lorna's Laces, but am not sure as I haven't used it myself.

I LOVE those muticolored yarns, the first skein she showed was so big, I wonder how many yards that would be, and what yarn company those yarns came from?

Yes, it was a fluff piece. No real technique info or good photos of the socks but for those of us who are familiar with Cookie's fabulous patterns it was just fun to see her. Maybe next time they can be in studio and get into some detail on a particular option (hint hint). Wishing her lots of luck with the new book, I can't wait to get mine!

The video doesn't show the socks at all, what was the point? Grr.
I am very interested in Cookie A. I have her book on order and therefore was really looking forward to this video. What a HUGE disappointment. The quality was so poor you could not really see the socks at all, they were just a blurry blob of color, as was the many skeins of yarn they had on the table. Were we supposed to guess what it was? What was the point? There was really no useful information given. A big fat wast of time. :(

A Designer Spotlight is a great idea, highlighting the person, not just their design. That was the point.
