She never said she saw it, she said Russia can be seen from Alaska. Nome is not the nearest city, Tin City is west of Nome, and its closer than Nome. How many listeners know that. You can see Russia from Tin City, Mainland to Mainland. CNN is so full of it.

As a libertarian who gave up on the GOP but did support them, I can say that if Palin was a man, her whole act would never have flown. Let's be honest, her being an attractive woman is her lone selling point. Sadly, her grassroots support among the Freeper types is totally cultic. Similar to how Obama's supporters are largely zombies. I don't understand how anyone with a living brain can buy into this two party bullshit theater.

In her 'famous' interview Palin said: "You can actually see Russia from LAND, here in Alaska", no islands mentioned. She said LAND. If you don't trust me go watch the interview!
