Yeah, I understand your fears of making a flat spot and of going off course. Don't worry about the braking then, you'll just get better at it the more you drive. You'll also learn to use more of the track the more you drive :D So now only thing you have to correct is shuffle steering. Do like this, try to go a bit slower (not too much) and concentrate on steering properly.

Oh also... try to use all the track (every inch of asphalt), that will make you faster (This advice comes from a friend of mine who saw your video, he's an instructor and is the fastest person I've seen @ Gingerman)
You will find out you can go through every turn without shuffle steering (going slower) and when you go faster you have to steer even less so you'll have absolutely no problems.
Good luck :D

Shuffle steering is when you move your hands on the steering wheel, in your car you have no need to, just keep them in the racing position (like 9.15 on a clock) and you'll be able to do all turns.
Let me know how it goes :)
Good luck!

Now I see what means shuffle steering. I think it is one of my bad habit... Thanks for the advice and I will try to stick on 9:15 next time!

Does your Miata have ABS? 'cos if it does you should feel the ABS about to kick in when you brake hard, when it wants to kick in ease off the brakes very slightly (basically constantly keep the ABS trying to kick in but without it actually kicking in) that should work.

Ya.. If I have ABS, it will be much easier, but my car does not... I don't want to make a flat spot on my tire you know...
