The painting which appears on this wall forms a part of the Youth Arts Development Project, called On Track.
VCAL students from Galvin Park Secondary College worked with BiGfiSh Workshop and two local stencil artists, Justin Tumilaar and Mike Macca to create the images for this wall. The students had never made stencils prior to this project.
On Track could not have happened without the support of the Department of Transport, Wyndham City, Metro, Brotherhood of St Laurence, Costa's Mitre10 and Dulux.
This 160+sqm wall was coated with Trunano Graffiti Armor almost a month ago. When we visited the site, there was already some indecent graffiti which we removed prior to filming as it was offensive. We were told by the owner of the Mitre10 store that this Graffiti appeared the next day after the Nanotechnology Armor was applied. As the armor protects instantly, this caused no issue for the mural, and after a month the graffiti came off easily and clean.
There was still some which we left to show how easy it was to remove and of course we added some to it on site.
